Zommer time for OUP as tree title leads nature trio

OUP has bought three picture books about the natural world by author/illustrator Yuval Zommer.

Senior commissioning editor Helen Mortimer signed world rights to the trio from Felicity Trew at the Caroline Sheldon Literary Agency.

The first, The Tree That’s Meant to Be, is about a tree that discovers that taller trees are being felled for Christmas—but it soon "finds joy and optimism with the help of the forest animals".

It is scheduled for release in October 2019.
